Inspired by our own designers and makers experiences of working from home back in the spring, this collection of modular and versatile pieces is designed with one simple goal - to create comfortable, practical and beautiful spaces and offices to work from, in the heart of your own home.
This isn’t about completely reconfiguring our spaces at great costs. More than ever, our homes are sanctuaries we want to protect, not turn into chaotic building sites. This collection is about enhancing what we already have. Simple ways of making our space more multifunctional, easier to use, more beautiful and pleasant, ensuring our homes don’t add to our already increased stress levels.
We want to help you design a home office and workspace that not only alleviates the physical and mental strains of working from home but is also a beautiful modern home that is a joy to spend endless time in.
This collection of pieces looked at our own experiences working at home during the start of the coronavirus outbreak, inspired by how each of our designers adapted their homes to this new way of living.
The work-from-home desk was inspired by our founder Soroush’s own uncomfortable dining chair that was never designed to be used for long periods of time. After piling books, boxes and finally a chair onto his dining table, he was converted to the joys of a standing desk.
His wife, on the other hand, loves working curled up in bed, papers strewn over the covers and laptop on her knees. This inspired the All Day Tray, with curved legs and an adjustable angled table-top, it allows her to more around easily and work without strain.
But what about if you simply don’t feel you have enough room to work from home? The Leaf Desk is perfect for compact offices, the flip-top table can be closed down at the end of the day, helping your separate your work day from your home life, and saving you space at the same time.
All of these have clever compartments to store all your work stuff away, helping delineate between work and home time when those boundaries are already so blurred.
A great work from home set up starts with the actual workspace … but it doesn’t end there.
When your home suddenly also becomes your office, nursery, school and gym, space is at a premium. Versatile and elegant storage helps the rest of your home stay organised, keeping your mind free of worry and clutter and helping you navigate daily life more seamlessly.
Our narrow display shelves can either be used for decoration or to manage household tasks, the compact London Bedsides are designed to lay flush against any wall no matter the skirting board and our re-designed modular storage can be configured to suit any space.
Spending more time than ever at home means it should also be as beautiful as possible.
A handful of clever accessories helps stay organised and just enjoy the craft of beautifully made objects. The mortise board (inspired by a classic of traditional woodworking - the mortise and tenon joint) and clipboard are picked straight from our own Work/Shop, tools used to manage our own production line. The Wave Stand and Mirror are elegant and beautiful objects to admire, lifting spirits and when our loved ones are far away, what better way to stay in touch than with a plywood greeting card.
As with all Lozi pieces, the quality is in the detail. Each joint, curve, handle and surface is finished to the highest standard, creating beautiful unique pieces that will stand the test of time.
